Our Program

Care & fun childcare center in Halifax Nova Scotia follow the Emergent curriculum we believe Children do not learn because they are taught. They learn as a result of their own doing through actions, relationships, inquiries, opportunities, and repetition.
Young children’s brains develop at an amazing rate during the early years. Children learn and develop brain cell connections when they: run, jump, dress up, speak, socialize, read, listen, sing, paint, catch, kick, throw, climb, observe, swing, question, scream, pull, push, rhyme, create, shape, and more.
So by applying the emergent Curriculum with indoor area we will achieve the following:
1.Learning through play using the daily circle that creates the thinking methodology and the team communication between the children.
2.Using the dramatic play tools to grow their imagination.
3.Also using the songs and music time to develop their skills.
Also using the Outdoor time and equipments will help developing the sharing attitude and communication.

Our Infant program is designed to create a nurturing, comfortable, and safe environment where an infant is encouraged to play, interact, learn, and explore using all of their senses.

Care & Fun’s infant program is designed to keep your child always engaged and motivated to learn and try new things, our teachers provide numerous interesting new experiences each and every day. We believe that your child’s first year hosts rapid development and therefore it is essential that we provide stimulating activities that encourage optimal development and growth.

Some few examples of such activities:

· Music classes with your child being a part of the activity using instruments and playing along

· Finger painting, colouring, and mixing colours

· Event crafts (Pumpkin shaped crafts for Halloween, Turkey shaped crafts for Thanksgiving, etc...)

· Group play

· Teach them how to use utensils and feed themselves (it gets messy!)

· Help them to take daily steps to learn how to walk

· Fine motor, gross motor, science / sensory activities
· Listen and interact story time

As per general Care & Fun Child Care Centre practice, daily written and verbal communication keeps you informed about every part of your child’s day. Our goal is to make you proud to have your kid be a part of the Care & Fun family.

Infant Program is only available in Care & Fun Main avenue Branch

Our Toddler program is designed to create an educating, nurturing, comfortable, and safe environment where your child is encouraged to learn, interact, socialize, play, and explore using all of their senses.

Care & Fun believes that each child grows, develops, and learns differently that’s why we follow an Emergent curriculum that encourages the kids to do more of what they like but also encourage them to always try new exciting activities all the time.

Care & Fun’s toddler program is designed to keep your child always engaged and motivated to learn and try new things while having tons of fun, our teachers provide numerous interesting new experiences each and every day. We believe that your child’s toddler years are very important for their development and therefore it is essential that we provide stimulating activities that encourage optimal development and growth.

Some few examples of such activities:

·  Creative art

·  Dramatic play (role-play)

·  Group play that encourage socializing and being a part of a group

·  Music classes with your child being a part of the activity using instruments and playing along

·  Fine motor, gross motor, science / sensory activities

Care & Fun believes that each child grows, develops, and learns differently that’s why we follow an Emergent curriculum that encourages the kids to do more of what they like but also encourage them to always try new exciting activities all the time.

Care & Fun’s Preschool program is designed to keep your child always engaged and motivated to learn and try new things while having tons of fun, our teachers provide numerous interesting new experiences each and every day. We believe that your child’s preschool years are very important for their development and therefore it is essential that we provide stimulating activities that encourage optimal development and growth and prepare them for their upcoming school years.

Some few examples of such activities:

· Tracing letters and numbers

· Group play that encourage socializing and being a part of a group

· Music classes with your child being a part of the activity using instruments and playing along
